Hope in the Slope
Hospitality is a worldwide language, but it is one rarely spoken to those living on the streets. Hope in the Slope provides an opportunity for people living in homelessness to experience love through hospitality right in their own neighborhood. Illuminate’s Hope in the Slope builds relationships with those they serve by treating them with dignity right where they are and by paving the way to help them take steps towards a better future when they are ready.
House of Refuge Sunnyslope
Sometimes a person just needs a little help to get back on their feet. House of Refuge provides a safe place to do just that. House of Refuge Sunnyslope is a long-term transitional housing program that serves men, women, and women with children. House of Refuge Sunnyslope provides housing, structure, and a mentoring program. They help people find jobs, save money, and begin practicing the life skills needed to find success and stability in their next season of life. Illuminate supports House of Refuge Sunnyslope with volunteers, mentors, and Bible teachers.
