Into our city and the world.

Jesus’ Great Commission actually assumes that His people are going in order to make disciples (Matthew 28:19). We want to do our part in answering Jesus’ call by focusing our local and global outreach in three strategic areas:

  • Empowering the Vulnerable, providing awareness, intervention, rehabilitation and community care for persons at risk
  • Strengthening the Church, providing training, encouragement, and mentoring for church planters, pastors, and local church leaders
  • Raising Up the Next Generation, reaching and discipling children, youth and students

We accomplish this by partnering with church and ministry leaders in our city and around the world, sending short-term teams to work alongside them, and by responding strategically to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs we discover together.

Below you will find opportunities to feed the hungry, care for the hurting, assist in the recovery process of addiction and help people that are contemplating suicide. This can only happen through our community partners and willing volunteers on our outreach team. Please pray and think about where you want to get involved.

Hope in the Slope

Once a month, we are doing a church service and providing meals afterward fro the homeless that live in this community. During this time you will be feeding the hungry, providing community for the lonely, and praying for the hurting and addicted.

Foster Care & Adoption

There are so many ways to get involved in this space. As a church, the question is not should if we get involved in foster care, but where. There are multiple ways that you can get involved:

  1. Become a foster family
  2. Mentor a child in foster care
  3. Serve at one of our events that are hosted throughout out the year at Illuminate and elsewhere.

Addictions and Recovery

God tells us to care for the hurting and the broken. We have never met someone who is on drugs or is in recovery that hasn’t been found broken and hurting. We must enter this space boldly.

Serve with one of our partners:

  • Teen Challenge
  • House of Refuge
  • Phoenix Rescue Mission

Prison Ministry

People are coming to know Jesus in unexpected places and we want to be there to help lead and guide them into a closer walk with Christ. One of these unlikely places is the Arizona Department of Correction. We partner alongside ministries in order to provide in-prison church services, mentoring/discipleship, and support.

International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. IJM partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems.

We support a field office for IJM located in Ghana, Africa whose sole focus is to eliminate child slavery in and around Lake Volta, where children are forced to work for no pay, treated poorly and sometimes die due to the harshness of the conditions there.
