PLAN A VISIT

Join us this Sunday at 9:00am or 10:30am!
We truly believe that you belong here!

Our desire is to provide a place for you to connect, find purpose, and grow in relationship with God and others.

We have been meeting on campus now for the past couple of months with a few tweaks to allow for “social distancing” and better protect those joining us! Some of you may still not be ready for meeting in-person on campus and THAT’S OK! You can continue to watch our services online LIVE on Sundays or ON-DEMAND throughout the week. If you are like many others and are ready to come back to the campus, here are some things to be aware of:

CAN ANYONE COME – DO WE NEED TO RSVP?

We are EXCITED to have you join us this Sunday for our in-person worship services. Adults no longer need to RSVP as we have set up our auditorium with social distancing in mind. Once you find a seat, our ushers will put markers on the two seats on either side of your “family grouping.” We look forward to seeing you! However, our Illuminate Kids are meeting during the 10:30am service only. Please RSVP here for your kiddos.

WHERE DO I PARK?

We have plenty of parking around the building – just follow the signs by the road as you approach. Families with kids – please park and enter on the North side. You will see some friendly faces holding WELCOME BACK signs. We may have masks on, but believe us, we are smiling underneath those masks!

WHAT ABOUT THOSE MASKS?

We have all heard by now from the CDC guidelines, the best practices to protect yourself from the Coronavirus; wash your hands, cover sneezes and coughs, wear a mask, practice “social distancing,” and if you are sick stay at home. We ask that if/when you can’t practice social distancing, that you wear a mask in all our public spaces (unless you have a medical exemption.)

Because of the social distancing space we are able to maintain, once folks are seated in our auditorium, some remove their masks and some do not. Once the service ends we ask that you wear a mask on your way out. Please bring a mask with you when you come.  If you do not have a mask, don’t worry, we will provide one for you.

HOW WILL I BE GREETED?

Being friendly and welcoming has always been a big part of Illuminate; that will not change. You will see friendly greeters welcoming you back and holding open doors. For your safety and ours we will be keeping our distance and not shaking hands, but believe us, we are SO glad you came. To help with traffic flow and ease congestion, child check-in will be in the back- north lobby.

CAN I GET COFFEE AND SNACKS?

For safety reasons, we are offering limited coffee and prepackaged snacks on Sunday mornings. We will also provide water bottles, and as always, you are welcome to BYOD (bring your own drink)! Also, things might look a little different as we have rearranged and removed some of the furniture to help with social distancing.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE WORSHIP CENTER?

You can pick your own seat as always! We have rearranged our rows to help facilitate social distancing. You can sit with your family or friends, but our friendly ushers will be “reserving” two seats on either side of each seated party to help facilitate social distancing. You can still find all announcements and the ability to take notes on our app. If you have not yet downloaded it, search “Illuminate Community” on your mobile app store. After each service, we spray disinfectant on each chair and wipe down door handles throughout the building.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS, WHERE DO THEY GO?

We are excited to gather together with our children and teach them about Jesus during our 10:30am service! We are no longer asking for RSVPs. However, please continue to use the North lobby for children’s check-in and temperature checks. You can read the following plans and procedures to help keep your children and our volunteers safe here.

To help with traffic flow, ease congestion, and maintain social distancing, child check-in is in the North lobby.

We know for a variety of reasons; some families are not ready to bring their kids to the building and will choose to continue to engage with us online. Please know, WE UNDERSTAND! You can find all our resources on our kid’s page on our website and social media!

WHAT OTHER THINGS HAVE CHANGED OR SHOULD WE BE AWARE OF?

We have been working hard to be ready for you to come and experience church service in person when you are ready. Here are a few other things you might want to know:

  • We have enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures throughout our building.
  • We replaced the bathroom faucets with touchless ones and have added additional cleaning supplies. We will also have regular cleaning protocols in place for during and after services.
  • Our drinking fountains will not be operational for your safety.
  • We have placed extra sanitizing stations throughout the building along with several mobile stations.
  • We will not be setting up tables, chairs, or games in The Lot to help with social distancing.
  • All pencils and cards from the back of the chairs have been removed.

That’s about it for now. As you can imagine, things are fluid and may need to change so remember what Jason tells us, “Blessed are the flexible for they will not break!” Whether you continue to engage with us from home, with your community group, or here on campus, WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

If you have any questions or comments, please email our Executive Pastor Dana Erickson at danae@illuminatecommunity.com.

A few tips for your first visit

Be sure to stop by “The Hub” in the front lobby. We’d love to say hi, give you a free gift, and point you in the right direction.

Arrive early, especially if you have kids so they can get checked in.

The earlier you arrive, the better chance you have at snagging a parking spot close to the church. Otherwise, if you don’t mind a bit of a walk, there’s plenty of parking in the lot south of our main entrance.

First time visit FAQs

Come as you are. There’s people wearing shorts and sandals sitting next to some in suits and a tie.
We average approximately 1000 people every weekend.

We have ministries for both kids and teens.

We are a church that reaches beyond our walls and into our city. Jesus tells us to put action to our faith, and we want to bring the life-giving gospel message of Jesus to a world that desperately needs refreshment. Our desire is for you to connect, find purpose, and grow in relationship with God and others.

If you are still figuring out who He is and what that means, Sunday Services and Community Groups are both great places to consider and explore. It would be great to also check out the various ministries we have at Illuminate.

As a quick reference, read up on our mission, vision, and core values.

We keep it tight, right around 65 minutes for each service.
